Students at Chittagong University hit back - Protests are spreading!
Thousands of students successfully protested against the introduction of Value Added Tax (VAT) in Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh on July 26th. The introduction was revoked.
About 2000 students took to the streets of Dhaka (Bangladesh), mostly from private universities (e.g. North South University, East West University, American International University of Bangladesh, Brac University and Dhaka International University), to protest against the governments decision to charge a Value Added Tax (VAT) of 4.5% to the tuition fees. In Bangladesh about 23% of students attend private universities. But keep in mind that by far not all are students who would want to study.

More than 1500 students (out of 2000) joined a walkout at the University of the Philippines in Baguio to protest against tuition hikes and for a sufficient state funding of public education.
