hi, sry for disturbing, I just need a short update. does anyone have news from poland? how did the melting of the protests with polish pips during educational strike work? any news? does someone have a link? btw thanks to ana for the comments in wikinews030, they are online (sry for the delay), any direct links for them to add? does someone have a special wish?

aber wißt ihr was? das über die beteiligung der polen - da find ich nichts, wurde wohl übersehen. muß wohl noch geschrieben werden. außerdem ist das, was ich bisher gefunden habe, nur zum bildungsstreik selbst. zu ISM / global week of action noch nüscht, suche aber weiter.

I'm from OKUPÉ (Open Commitee for Liberation of the Educational Space - http://okupe.blogspot.com/)group from Poland and after holidays we will get together to discuss the issue of the new Action Week. I think that the group from Wrocław (http://odzyskajedukacje.wordpress.com/)is going to join the Action too.
And I want to inform that on August 13th there was a demonstration against commercialization of education in Gdańsk. It was ogranized by Młodzi Socjaliści (the Young Socialists) but some people from OKUPÉ also participated (in the pictures you can see banners with emancipating-education-for-all address and t-shirts with the Action Week logo :) http://picasaweb.google.pl/okupeUG/SocialistiskDemonstrationIGdansk#5369...).
I will inform you about all planned actions in Gdańsk.

I had no idea really.
But you will find a video made in Poland during the "Reclaim your Education - Global Week of Action" among the list of actions :)

...yes, as far as I know (as far as I've been told) there were at least some first actions, we could interprete them as a kind of beginning of polish students joining the movement - possible bigger / louder next actions are not excluded, I think.
Wit wrote today, they had two film evenings, they showed this summer of resistance film (maybe you remember the calls for translations help, obviously somehow the searches resulted in a successfull subtitling at the end) - so, they showed the films in Wrocław and Gdańsk and there was a poster/transpartents solidarity action in Wrocław, that's at least what Wit knows for sure. for short reports about smaller actions from other cities I have to search on and ask around.
